A beautiful, sustainable, new part of Stamford

Stamford is a very special town with a rich history and wonderful architecture. It stands out as somewhere people still meet in the market, walk through the town into open parkland, and contribute to a broad and eclectic range of independent shops and thriving local groups and clubs.

There is a well-documented housing shortage nationally and locally.

Our challenge is to provide the new homes Stamford needs within a calm, green place that will become a cherished part of the town. It must be managed sensitively, in phases, with shops, new parks, pathways and bus services in place long before all those houses are built. We are also working hard with the NHS to secure new local health services, and with the council on providing a new school.

Making all that possible doesn’t begin with lorries and cranes appearing on site. It started long ago, in conversations with people across the town and has slowly evolved into a very clear vision and plan for a thriving place that captures the very essence of Stamford. That place will border the town’s northern edge between Little Casterton Road to the East and Ryhall Road and the River Gwash to the west.

We will continue to work closely with the people of Stamford as those plans evolve into work on the ground. Your help in shaping Stamford North is a fundamental and ongoing part of this journey.
